Notes: This story is an AU that vaguely uses Hans Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen and The Ice Maiden as inspiration. One bit of dialogue was inspired by Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Sheppard, who is both the prize Rodney is playing for and a measure for how badly he's losing, and God, Rodney really needs to win this game, but he doesn't know how.
